Title: “Synthetic Hydrogels as a Delivery Technology for Next-Generation Cardiac Gene Therapy"
Biography:
Gabriella Kabboul, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School with affiliation to the Gene & Cell Therapy Institute at Mass General Brigham. She received her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University, where her research focused on engineering a biomaterial-based delivery platform to improve the targeting and efficacy of cardiac gene therapeutics. Her current research focuses on the development and translation of innovative viral and non-viral approaches for cardiovascular gene therapies, including AAV, RNA therapeutics, and targeted delivery platforms. Dr. Kabboul has received several awards and recognitions, including the American Heart Association (AHA) Predoctoral Fellowship, the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy (ASGCT) Meritorious Travel Award, and the Basic Cardiovascular Sciences (BCVS) Council New Investigator Travel Award. Her work has been presented at national and international conferences spanning cardiovascular science, gene therapy, and biomaterials research.
