Next ISACB Webinar:

"Novel Devices to Repair or Augment Cardiac Function"

Prof. Ellen Roche, PhD

Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Organized by ISACB Young Investigators Committee in conjunction with the ISACB Early Career, European Partnership and Communications Committee

November 15, 2022 10:00 EST

Bio:

Dr. Ellen Roche is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Institute for Medical Engineering and Science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to joining MIT, she conducted research as a postdoctoral fellow at the National University of Ireland Galway under the supervision of Professor Peter McHugh, focusing on drug release kinetics from implantable devices. She received her PhD at Harvard University under the guidance of Professor David Mooney and Professor Conor Walsh. Her current lab, the Therapeutic Technology Design and Development Lab (TTDD), explores the intersection of mechanical and biological therapy delivery. Her group uses tools including computational modeling and image-based biomimicry to study the interactions and mechanical effects of implantable devices on cardiac tissue.

Session Chairs:
